| Abstract |
Although the information on Petrache Sturza, a Moldavian personality from the first decades of the 19th century, is scarce, this article intends to present a short biography of him, based on archival documents, collections of published documents and foundation inscriptions of churches, such as that of a church founded by one of Petrache Sturza’s sons, Teodor. The public offices held by Petrache Sturza, his social and cultural activity suggest that he was an important dignitary of his epoch. |
