| Abstract |
After a brief survey of the Romanian people's century-old struggle for national unity, the article focuses on the efforts towards the achievement of the historic Union Act of 1 December 1918. In doing so, the author has referred to documents which belong in the patrimony of the National History Museum of Romania: the Declaration of Independence, the Resolution of the National Assembly of Alba Iulia, the Proclamation of the Unification of All Romanians. The political engagement for the right to independence and national unity of the Romanian population of Transylvania is emotionally evoked, as are the preparations of masses of residents across the country to join the Grand National Assembly in Alba Iulia. |
