The National Museum magazine

The National Museum - the magazine of the National History Museum of Romania - appeared in 1974, two years after the opening of the museum, gathering the most important studies of the museographers and researchers of the era.
The tradition continued and, with some hiccups during the 80s and early 90s, the magazine has been published annually since 1997. Historians, researchers, museographers, teachers have year after year published studies, documents, photographs and original pieces, discovered in the National Museum's warehouses of Romanian History, purchased or received through donations.
Experienced researchers or young debutant museographers, meanwhile becoming well-known names in contemporary historiography, have published their own studies in the four decades; historians who built today's museum: Florian Georgescu, Lucia Marinescu, Valeriu Leahu, Cornelia Apostol, Mariana Neguţiu, George Trohani, Radu Coroamă, Dorina Tomescu, Maria Ioniţă, Cristina Anton-Manea, Ioan Opriş, as well as: Adrian Silvan-Ionescu , Gabriel Badea-Păun, Mihai-Sorin Rădulescu, Adam Burakovski, Makito Yurita.
In recent years, the National Museum magazine gathered around it a dynamic team that went on to rate the publication, build a website and popularize studies and articles from the National Museum.
All issues of the magazine are available online on this site and we are waiting for you with studies and articles.
